The Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update introduces numerous fresh elements and extensive revisions to CD Projekt Red’s representation of Night City. Among these updates, there’s a discreet in-game retro shooter inspired by Wolfenstein 3D and the ’90s era of Doom, among other classics. I assure you, this is not a joke, and I’m here to reveal its location.
While Cyberpunk 2077 already featured in-game arcade games, including one based on CDPR’s open-world game The Witcher 3, the 2.0 update promised to introduce another arcade game called Trauma Drama to Night City. Surprisingly, there’s a secret arcade game in Cyberpunk 2.0, and it’s called Arasaka Tower 3D.
This arcade game is clearly a parody of Wolfenstein 3D. In this boomer shooter, you assume the role of Johnny Silverhand (with a Doomguy-like face displayed at the bottom of the screen), escaping from Arasaka Tower in 2023 after setting up a nuclear device. It retains the limited aiming functionality characteristic of ’90s games for an authentic retro feel. Additionally, the DLC promises even more content, which you can explore in our Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty review.
You can watch the game in action in the video above, courtesy of Tyler McVicker. However, we’ve also delved into the latest Cyberpunk 2077 update and can provide you with precise instructions on how to locate the Arasaka Tower 3D arcade game in Night City.
To find the arcade game, head to an abandoned church in the Night City badlands located to the south of the map. It’s conveniently close to the Protein Farm fast travel point, assuming you’ve unlocked it. If not, we’ve included an image below with the location marked for you to navigate to after setting a waypoint.
It’s possible that there may be more Arasaka Tower 3D arcade machines scattered throughout Night City, similar to other minigames in Cyberpunk 2077. However, we haven’t discovered any additional locations yet.
To pinpoint the church, simply walk north from the Protein Farm fast travel point. Once you arrive at the church, enter the building, and you’ll spot the arcade machine on the right. Now you can enjoy playing as Johnny Silverhand (to some extent) to your heart’s content. It’s a delightful cyberpunk take on classic boomer shooters, and it’s definitely worth checking out now that you know where to find it.
