As always, there are certain League of Legends champions that are more potent than others. Recently, one of the most formidable champions led Jankos to unleash his frustration after a bizarre encounter left him defeated.
Jankos, the jungler for Team Heretics, is currently in South Korea, where he streams his solo queue matches and occasionally creates content for Worlds 2023. During a recent stream, Jankos and three of his teammates found themselves facing K’Sante, and the confrontation ended in a calamity as the Polish player lost his life while the enemy champion survived.
Initially, it appeared that K’Sante was trapped, but he skillfully kicked Jankos through a wall in the Red Side’s jungle, subsequently defeating him in a one-on-one battle despite having significantly lower health. Understandably, Jankos was furious, labeling K’Sante as a “disgraceful” champion.
In all honesty, I wholeheartedly concur with the sentiments of the Polish jungler. K’Sante received significant buffs in League’s Patch 13.21, with Riot making several adjustments to his passive, Q, W, and ultimate abilities. These changes have solidified K’Sante’s position as one of the top-performing top laners, boasting a 51.65 percent win rate in Platinum+, according to U.GG. However, it has also made him one of the most vexing champions to deal with.
Even before the implementation of Patch 13.21, K’Sante was known for his durability in the top lane, excellent sustainability, and potent teamfight capabilities. The recent adjustments further increased his damage output through the updated passive and improved his overall kit.
In my view, a Reddit user summarized the situation perfectly: “K’Sante might be tanky and mobile, but at least he deals a substantial amount of damage,” as the top comment states.
Considering K’Sante’s recent rise to prominence, it’s entirely plausible that further adjustments may be in the works. However, it’s important to note that Patch 13.21 was only released yesterday, so it’s still too early to draw definitive conclusions. Except, of course, for Jankos, who undoubtedly hopes to see K’Sante receive some nerfs in the future.
