Silent Hill: Townfall got a new trailer during the 2026 Summer PlayStation State of Play presentation that primarily focused on gameplay, but did offer some story table setting.
The game is still considered a Silent Hill spin-off, though every new look at it makes it seem more and more like a mainline entry. The new trailer shows the protagonist looking for a character named Zoe Ellis and solving, potentially more intricate puzzles than the typical Silent Hill game (but they might feel on par when we get our hands on the game – we’ll see).
Some other interesting details include logging onto computers (something I don’t think we’ve ever done in Silent Hill), and distracting monster with thrown objects in first-person gameplay. Townfall also has a stark red color tone, which feels a little different than typical Silent Hill… but I like it.
And finally, the trailer also revealed a date for the game: September 24.
