In a gripping seven-game showdown at the MPL SG Season 6 grand final, the crowd erupted with excitement as Team Flash emerged victorious over the defending champion, RSG SG.
This remarkable win marked Team Flash’s first championship victory after enduring three seasons of RSG SG’s dominance in the competition. It was an unexpected turn of events for many, considering the significant roster changes Team Flash underwent in the current season. With this victory, Team Flash now assumes the role of Singapore’s sole representative in the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Invitational 2023 (MPLI 2023), presenting them with an even greater challenge. This marks their debut in an international MLBB tournament.
Leading their campaign is Bellamy “Lolsie” Yeov, an outstanding player borrowed from RSG SG. He is joined by Adam “Adammir” Chong, previously of Bleed Esports EXP lane, and Jaymark “Hadess” Lazaro, formerly a jungler for Geek Fam and a Filipino import. Notably, Lolsie and Adammir bring substantial international experience to the team, having competed in the M-series and securing numerous MPL SG titles in their careers. His exceptional contributions were acknowledged when he received the Week 4 MVP award, further solidifying his impact by earning the grand final MVP title. Hadess left such a profound impression that Coach Eugene “Kayzeepi” Kong humorously requested MPL SG host Cheryl Teo to root for “Hadess Esports” instead of “Team Flash” during their championship celebration.
Team Flash not only boasts incredible individual talent but also excels in maintaining their composure, even when confronted with adversity in a game. This was prominently evident during the grand final, where they executed a remarkable comeback to secure victories in games five and six.
Their resilience, combined with exceptional macro play and Hadess’ extensive hero pool, solidifies their status as a formidable Singaporean team.
