K’Sante’s League of Legends Win Rate Skyrockets, and No One is Happy

K’Sante is a champion in League of Legends who has sparked a lot of debate among players. The Pride of Nazumah has only been on the Rift for less than a year but has undergone significant modifications to make him more distinct in the top lane. After a major rework in patch 13.20 and further adjustments in 13.21, K’Sante currently occupies a top position in the League of Legends top lane tier list, which is backed by his high win rate.

In League of Legends patch 13.20, K’Sante underwent substantial alterations to his abilities. Although his Path Maker (W) was slowed down, his stuns and damage were enhanced, particularly in his All Out ultimate ability. Following the most recent League of Legends patch notes, he received another damage boost, as Riot believed he still needed further adjustments.

As a result, he has risen to the top of the tier list for the top lane in the MOBA. According to OP.gg, his win rate is above 50% at Platinum rank and higher, with pick rates ranging from 8% at Platinum to a remarkable 20.1% at Grandmaster and 17.13% at Challenger. K’Sante remains a popular pick at the current League of Legends World Tournament, with Games of Legends reporting 17 picks and seven bans at the time of writing.

To put this in perspective, he is considered S-tier in almost every high-ranking category. This has led professional players like Team Heretics’ Marcin ‘Jankos’ Jankowski to express their surprise by tweeting a screenshot of K’Sante’s current win rate.

Some have suggested that K’Sante may have been buffed to make the new Heartsteel skins (part of LoL’s latest boyband, of which K’Sante is a member) more appealing.

In response, lead gameplay designer David ‘Phreak’ Turley stated that he was unaware of K’Sante’s association with Heartsteel until after the patch was finalized, and he intentionally avoids looking for information about upcoming skins.

It appears that K’Sante has received numerous adjustments compared to champions like Skarner, whose rework has been highly anticipated but has been in development for a considerable time. There are also champions like Singed or Illaoi who are in need of updates, but Riot has clearly focused more on K’Sante, and newer champions like Seraphine and Rell (now a jungler) in the bot lane.

Unfortunately, this means that older champions may continue to lag behind at the lower end of the League of Legends tier list while K’Sante maintains his dominant position. However, other champions have also undergone significant changes, so it’s worth checking out League of Legends patch 13.21 to see who else is worth keeping an eye on.
