The Warhammer Vermintide 2 Geheimnisnacht event starts on Thursday, October 26, and continues until the end of next week, adding a spooky twist to one of the best co-op games on PC. If you’re familiar with Warhammer lore, you’ll recognize this as “the most ill-omened night of the year,” one of the two nights when the Chaos moon of Morrslieb is full. This Night of Mysteries is a time when the Winds of Magic become stronger, allowing demons to more easily cross into the mortal realm.
This makes Geheimnisnacht the perfect occasion for Necromancers to summon their undead armies, making it an ideal time for you to explore the new Warhammer Vermintide 2 Necromancer career for Sienna. With this addition, you can bring your skeleton crew to the battlefield, along with two new weapons, enhancing your solo play and benefiting any Vermintide 2 group.
During the Geheimnisnacht event, you’ll come across special ritual sites where the pactsworn are performing ceremonies with the animated Skull of Blosphoros. They are too preoccupied to notice you, but if you interfere and disrupt their sinister rituals, you can claim the skull for yourself. Be cautious, as there’s no second chance to retrieve it if it’s lost.
However, disturbing the ritual site might attract the attention of a dangerous Ritual Guardian. If successful, you can earn up to five unique, time-limited rewards. Throughout the event, you’ll also encounter mischievous Nurglings, so be careful where you step!
The Warhammer Vermintide 2 Geheimnisnacht event runs from Thursday, October 26, to Sunday, November 5, 2023, and offers double XP during its duration.
