Does Age of Empires 4 have cheats? No – but it will. World’s Edge creative director Adam Isgreen confirmed in an interview with Rock, Paper, Shotgun that cheats would be coming post-launch, but they’re not in the game currently. We still don’t have a timetable for when this will be, but we know at least it won’t be until after spring 2022.
In an updated roadmap, World’s Edge outlined the plan for the next few updates, starting with the recently released winter patch, through to the next big patch in spring. The blog post ends with a look at what else the team want to work on in the long-term and cheats get a specific mention.
