An all new Online event was announced by Geoff Keighley on Twitter. the Summer Game Fest will bring together big studios, developers, and publishers to showcase their new games and provide gamers around the world with free new games demos and possibly other giveaways. Summer Game Fest could be the replacement of E3 for 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

After the Cancelling of E3 2020 because of the Coronavirus outbreak, Everyone was waiting for the online replacement of the biggest gaming event of the year. Electronic Entertainment Expo did not yet mention any details about their plans in 2020 after the cancellation. But Geoff came forward with a great announcement for gaming enthusiasts.

What is Summer Game Fest and when will it be live?

The Summer Game Fest will expand on the duration of almost 4 months. Starting from May to August 2020. The live online event will include news from 2K, Activision, Bandai Namco, Bethesda, Blizzard, Bungie, CD Projekt Red, Digital Extremes, EA, PlayStation, Private Division, Riot Games, Square Enix, Steam, Warner Brothers and Xbox. And that is only phase one of the event.

” As well as strict news, Keighley’s festival will offer “in-game events, playable; content and demos of select titles” as well as a number of announcements that are yet to be revealed. Playable game festivals from Steam and Xbox are expected to arrive soon, and the festival will incorporate panels and interviews with prolific developers and publishers in the games industry. ” source: IGN
